It was great to see Gary Barlow; Noel Gallagher and Fatboy Slim win the Classic Songwriter; Icon and Inspiration awards respectively. Like many, I've always loved Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol and I though it thoroughly deserved to be named a "Classic Song" in the years Q awards. I think that Ed Sheeran is really talented and deserved to win "Best Breakthrough Act". It was great that Adele won two awards for "Best Female" and "Best Track" for Rolling In The Deep.
However, I thought it was sad that the Arctic Monkeys didn't win any of the three awards they were nominated for because I though their last album "Suck It And See" was a return to form and should've won the "Best Album" award. I also think that The Vaccines deserved to win "Best New Act" over WU LYF. Having listened to the new Coldplay album (watch out for an album review of that by me in the near future) today I'll agree that they are the "Best Act In The World Today". Although I prefer several other acts in the category, I think that due to their massive back catalogue and the large number of bands they have inspired over the last 25 years U2 deserved to win the "Greatest Act Of The Last 25 Years" award.

Out of the 10 categories, I predicted 5 correctly. Not too bad :)
