Christmas Number 1

Yesterday I made a poll asking you what your favourite Christmas number one of the noughties is. As it begins to approach that time of year again, the question is: who will be Christmas Number 1 in 2011?

In recent years The X Factor's winning  single has gone to the top of the charts at Christmas and no doubt it'll put up a good fight this year.

However, due to a major drop in viewing figures; accusations of fixing the results of the show and a general lack of talent on this years X Factor may mean that it might be defeated this year round like it did in 2009 where a Facebook campaign got Rage Against The Machine's Killing In The Name to the number 1 at Christmas beating The X Factor.

So what music can you buy to knock it off the top spot?

Well here's a few suggestions:
Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit

The Stone Roses - I Am The Resurrection

The Military Wives - Wherever You Are

My Chemical Romance - Welcome To The Black Parade

The Beastie Boys - Sabotage

The Smiths - Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want

The Bleep Test

Also The Wombles and the cast of The Only Way Is Essex both have singles that are contenders for Christmas Number 1.

  1. Teehee, "general lack of talent" You are one funny child :D

  2. 'And this year's Christmas no. 1 is... THE BLEEP TEST!!!'

    Fingers crossed everyone :)

  3. Bleep test hahahaha lol i'm buying that :L
