
Christmas Number 1. It's what any act in the music industry would love to have. Sometimes a Christmas song goes to number 1, sometimes it's a pop song which just so happens to be released that week or something different altogether.

In the noughties (especially in the second half), talent show The X Factor dominated the Christmas number 1 postion five times over the last ten years.

In 2009, however a facebook campaign to get Rage Against The Machine's Killing In The Name to the top of the charts at Christmas instead of X Factor. They succeeded aswell.

In 2004 loads of musicians (including the likes of Chris Martin; Bono; Dido; Dizzee Racal and more) were brought together to record a cover of 'Do They Know It's Christmas' for charity.
